Play Starcraft 2- Zerg Buildings and Units

The cornerstone to play Starcraft  2- Zerg race is that you create an early expansion and get harvesters going there, especially for gas.

The Zerg strategies are 3 things that you should remind:
  1. Expanding quickly.
  2. Controlling the flow of information.
  3. Expanding massively.
If you can do 3 above, your Zerg can be Diamond league players and win any race.


Know Zerg Buildings before play Starcraft  2:
In StarCraft 2-Wings of Liberty, there are 4 types of Zerg buildings;

  • Zerg Factories: 
Zerg Factories structures consist of Hatchery, Lair and Hive, that are used to build the Zerg units.
  • Zerg Defensive :
Zerg  Defensive structures consist of Spore Crawler and Spine Crawler, they have defensive weapons to fight with enemy units.

  • Zerg Research:
Zerg Research structures consist of Evolution Chamber, Spawning Pool, Roach Warren,Baneling Nest, Hydralisk Den, Infestation Pit, Spire, Ultralisk Cavern and Greater Spire, that are used to research upgrades and abilities for your Zerg units.
  • Zerg Support:
Zerg Support structures consist of Extractor, Nydus Network and Creep Tumor, that are used to provide a single special ability.

Know Zerg Units before play Starcraft  2:
In StarCraft 2-Wings of Liberty, there are 2 types of Zerg units;

  • Zerg Ground Units: These are Larva, Egg, Broodling, Drone, Zergling, Queen, Roach, Baneling, Changeling, Hydralisk, Infestor, Infested Terran, Changeling, Nydus Worm and Ultralisk. Zerg Ground units can only go on ground and are thus limited to the rules of terrain.
  • Zerg Air Units: These are Cocoon, Overlord, Overseer, Mutalisk, Corruptor and Brood Lord. Zerg Air units can fly without having to follow the rules of terrain.
